Doodle for Google

My design for the doodle for Google I simply colored in the Google logo with their colors and added the question of “Google supports kindness, do you?” under it. The large Google logo made up the Google in my question. This doesn’t have much relation to my life. I find it difficult to create things with such open ended prompts, but I can come up with slogans pretty easy so I chose to do that with my doodle.

I made this doodle using only sharpies on the submission sheet. I colored in the google logo using the colors that are used for the actual logo. I drew lines where I wanted to put my text so I had a reference on how large to make the text. I sketched out my text in pencil and then went over it again with sharpie. I didn’t do this on a separate piece of paper, I just went straight onto the submission paper.

I used contrast and color to make this doodle. The color was copied as close as I could using the sharpies I had from the Google logo. I wanted the text to stand out because it is really the only part of this doodle that is mine, so I used a black sharpie on the white background. I was originally planning on putting it in a box to create more contrast with the Google but I chose to instead color it. My next steps with this doodle could be to add some shadow and make the text more interesting. I think I would probably rewrite it and add highlights and shadows.
