Inclusion Design

Inclusion Ave.

7"x11"

This project was made using watercolor and sharpie. Everything but the figures were made using watercolor. I did use too much water when trying to evenly spread the watercolor and I have some feathery, puffy sections in the watercolor sections.

Color and shape were the main elements used to create this piece. The sidewalk, road, building, and figures don’t have much depth and are just shapes. The street corner is somewhat in perspective but not quite. The colored sidewalk made the picture seem more intriguing and something about color makes it feel more inclusive than just grays and black. I originally was going to do a different perspective, but it didn’t look symmetrical and correct so I decided to go with the corner at the top which I have now. My next steps could be to add more detail. I could add some texture on the building and add more definition of the figures.
