My art was a response to the endangerment of animals. I found the three most endangered animals and made a print of them. I made the print from linoleum and printed it onto Bristol board. I incorporated a little color into the background with the numbers, I wish I had used a more red marker. The values are mostly just black and plain colors and the animal is just a shape.
I used the rule of thirds with the objects on the page. Other than that there aren't really any composition rules used except for a low horizon line at the bottom. My project was originally going to be the same thing but flipped, with the stencil letters in the front over the animals.I also was going to do a fourth print of a lemur but I didn't like the print o I got rid off that one.
I wanted to make something that was about endangered species so I chose the three most endangered species and made an artwork about them. The endangerment and eventual extinction of species is something I find very disturbing so I wanted to make something about it. To improve my artwork I would probably make the rhino print straighter across the stencil. I would also attempt to make the inking a little more even and use a redder color on the stencil.
