Information from Parents/Caregivers:
1. What is the main language spoken at home?
2. What language does your child speak, read, write?
3. Does your child have any special needs?
Are there are any outside agencies involved?
What does this child need in terms of resources supplied by the school?
What does this child need in terms of involvement and/or liaison with other agencies?
Elicit the same information if it is believed the child may have special abilities.

Information for Parents/Caregivers:
1. Discuss Prospectus and essentials of Belonging to Pt England
2. Explain Rethink system, disciplinary steps and the school rules
3. Discuss compulsory uniform and means of purchase with a view to detecting whether special arrangements need to made.
4. Discuss activity cost and the need to support extra curricula activity
5. Discuss the various ways of of acquiring ownership of a digital learner device and ascertain whether further support is needed. Discuss Kawa of Care
6. Check whether Whanau would like their tamariki to attend Christian Religious Education (CRE): Y3 - Y6
7. Ensure parents are aware of the privileges and responsibilities of an ‘Open door Policy’.
8. Discuss what to do if you have a problem about anything happening at school.
9. Times for dropping off at school and leaving in the afternoon.
10. Advise Parents/Caregivers of any parent meetings.
11. Discuss breakfast morning tea & lunch with regards to the school's policy on healthy eating.
12. Signing in and out at the school counter.
13. Discuss parent/caregiver's responsibility to contact the school if your child is going to be absent, with reason.
14. Emphasise home-reading and home-learning.
15. Briefly describe the nature and variety of specialist programmes ans social services available at the school.
16. Describe Pt England's online presence, it's bearing on learning and teaching and the sharing of anonymised data
17. Take time to carefully explain the informed consent items on the enrolment form so we have met the obligations of the Privacy Act
