STAFF ATTESTATION CYCLE
February: Draft Job Descriptions shared with staff. These are to be discussed at Team Mtgs and confirmed with Principal within 2 weeks. Individual Action Plans/Teacher Inquiries also shared.
February: Finalised Job Descriptions in place and being used.
Teacher Inquiries/Individual Action Plans underway by mid Term 1
These documents are stored in the Professional Portfolio volume of Pt England's Google Drive and are permissioned for the Principal, A.P.'s Team Leader and Teacher only. They are shared with the Education Review Office during an ERO Review.
Attestation schedule:
March/April: First round of walk-throughs & conferences held for all staff. Conferences will be held during Release Time. Goals achievement and support will be discussed. Attestation walkthroughs and Teaching as Inquiry conferences will be held on a termly basis.
1st Vosaic AI video observation and discussion should be completed
May/June/July: Principal and A.P. Walkthrough's will occur. Teaching as Inquiry conferences will also be held early in the term. Walkthroughs will focus on the subject of Teacher Inquiry or a priority set by the school.
2nd Vosaic AI video observation and discussion should be completed
Manaiakalani Tools will be used by Team Leaders and SMT, once training has occurred. Termly walkthroughs and conferences will carried out along with checking of professional portfolios and Inquiry Blogs prior to sign off for Attestation or Registration. The SMT will have regular check ins (twice termly) with their appraiser to check on progress against goals in their performance agreements.
October/November: Final appraisal conferences will take place . Further visits will take place where appropriate. Conference will evaluate TAI achievement and discuss ways of supporting further change.
3rd Vosaic AI video observation and discussion should be completed
The finalised material will be used to help construct job descriptions TAI and goal setting for next year. Copies held by Principal, Appraiser, & Appraisee.
Notes: Appraisal will be an on-going process. Our teams are constructed so that there is a great deal of regular contact. Planning is team-based.
