Yogurt bowls are one of the easiest breakfast items to whip up! They literally take no time. All you need is:
1 cup your favorite yogurt (I use Siggis plain)
1/2 cup fresh fruit ( I used fresh blueberries for this recipe)
1/4 cup dried Fruit ( Tart cherries work perfect!)
1 tbsp nut butter (Peanut butter makes everything better)
1/4 cup unsweetened dried coconut, toasted
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
....and that's it!
Combine all of your ingredients in a bowl and enjoy!
I also love yogurt bowls because they are so NUTRITIOUS!
For this recipe, I used blueberries and dried tart cherries which are LOADED with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. I also used my personal favorite, peanut butter, which is a great protein source.
I added in some toasted unsweetened dried coconut for some crunch. Coconut is a great source of manganese, which is essential for bone health. It is also rich in copper and iron which helps form red blood cells.
Add in some ground flaxseed for some extra fiber, and you should be good to go!
