HEAD TEACHER'S NEWSLETTER
What a wonderful performance of Hansel & Gretel at the Brunton last night: I had forgotten how much I missed pantomimes! Very well done to all our Grammar pupils, and the other young people, who were the entertaining and talented chorus, and thank you so much to Brunton staff for their hospitality. Only one week to go of term, and I wish you a happy, festive weekend.
Covid guidance for schools has been updated and in light of this we ask that all of our young people:
sanitise/ wash their hands regularly and bring face coverings to school (we do provide these in in the morning if pupils need one);
follow the one way system in place in school;
remain 2m distanced from teachers;
are outside at all social times and should therefore have warm clothing every day.

The 12 Doors of Christmas
The halls of MGS have been decked in Christmas glory over the last couple of weeks, with pupils and staff making a special festive effort to spread Christmas cheer. In our annual Christmas Door Decorating competition, the contest this year has been fierce - with everyone pulling out the festive stops. Miss Nichol and Mrs Lyall really struggled to narrow it down to only 12 doors - but eventually we agreed on the 12.
We would be delighted and snow grateful if you could vote for your favourite door in the voting form below: https://forms.gle/Q8kdiUV8CNRZGhE7A We hope you all vote and love the Christmas Doors as much as we do!
A full slideshow of all Christmas Doors will be in next week's newsletter, including the reveal of the winner!
