Kayla and Rory's Weekly Rundown
Hi everyone, welcome back to another week of Kayla and Rory’s weekly rundown. We both hope everyone has had a great week as we continue to get closer to the February break and has enjoyed yet another week of miserable weather.
This week we had the opportunity to meet and show around all the candidates for the Head of Maths position. We all really enjoyed the experience of being able to help all the candidates and talk to them about their experiences at different schools.
We hope everyone who wants to come along to strictly next Thursday has managed to get themselves a ticket and we hope everyone is excited to see all the couples as we are (especially as Kayla is taking part in a dance).
We hope everyone has an exciting weekend and we will see you all next week! :)

Sports News
Findlay Duncan and Rory Steedman who both play for Inverleith Hockey club were crowned U18s Indoor Scottish Cup champions last weekend. Findlay scored the equaliser in the final that led to running penalties and Inverleith winning 2-0 on penalties. A huge well done to the boys after also winning the U18s Scottish Club Cup back in October 2022, this making them double U18 Champions. We are all so very proud of you!
Scottish Schools Indoor Track and Field Championship
This week Ross Dargo, Jake Nicol and Euan Grierson attended the Scottish Schools Athletics Indoor Track and Field Championships, with other pupils from other East Lothian Secondary schools. The event took place at the Emirates in Glasgow on Tuesday 31st and Wednesday 1st February. It was a busy and long two days for our pupils, but they took it in their stride and absolutely smashed it, competing against some of the top athletes in Scotland!
The boys competed in the following events:
Ross - U15 60m Heat (secured PB) & Semi Final
Jake - U17 60m Heat (secured PB) & Semi Final, 200m Heat & 200m Semi Final
Euan - U20 60m Heat
It was an honour to be able to watch you compete and participate in such a fantastic event. Watch this space, more to come from these talented young men. We are just extremely proud of you all, and well done boys!
