!!!BE SURE TO NOT KINK THE COPPER LINES WHEN INSTALLING!!! DO NOT PUT 90 DEGREE BENDS IN THE LINES, THIS WILL DESTROY THE UNITS !!!
To size your mini split air conditioner, the most important thing you need to know is the square footage of the room you’re looking to cool and/or heat. Each indoor unit will be capable of providing a set number of BTU’s of cooling and heating power. In order to size your mini split correctly, you will need to know the square footage of the room, and check it against our table.
A professional will measure the length by the width and multiply them. For example, if the room is 30 feet long by 40 feet wide, then it would be 30 x 40 = 1,200 square feet. To get the approximate BTU rating, the technician will multiply the square footage of the room by 25.
Mini split systems are easy to install and are perfect for DIYers. You'll save money by not hiring a contractor and you can complete the installation on your own timetable. Ductless mini split systems are easier to install than other air conditioning systems.
Please note that we only use diy models that won't need to be charged, need gauges, or anything like that. But that this is a good video to watch to catch you up.
