ORDER BLUEPRINTS
ORDER BLUEPRINTS
A blueprint is a reproduction of a technical drawing or engineering drawing using a contact print process on light-sensitive sheets.
The process for uploading the blueprint is the exact same as uploading the homeowner acknowledgment form. However, you will need to check a different box, in the upload, showing that it is a blueprint or design item.
Before the blueprints are made, MATTERPORT is needed as a reference in making blueprint. The project managers should navigate the To-Dos of the specific property in CoConstruct.
TO ORDER BLUEPRINTS:
Click the To Do INITIAL MATTERPORT.
Tag (@Matterport David Robillard) and ask to request her to do the Matterport. Please let David know what should be needed and ask when he can do it.
Note that we need to let the one doing matterport if there is power in the house. This applies to all 3 types - initial, rough in, or final matterport.
You can use this script below;
"Hi (Tag @Matterport David Robillard), please schedule Initial matteport; note that (there is or there is no) power in this house. Thank you"
Note: When an initial matterport is requested, in addition to knowing if the power is on, we also need to inform the matterport technician if there is a basement or crawl space and if the access is not inside, inform him where is the access.
Also verify if the entire property has been cleaned out. It is very difficult to get a good scan if there are items inside the property or outside on the porch. The items will block the scan.
Once David is done producing the Matterport video, she will send the details and the link to matterport and tag the (draftsmen) to notify them that it is ready.
This is the time when he (draftsmen) have the signal to start doing the blueprints. If there's anything information that is needed and important on the blueprints, please let them know.
MATTERPORT: The matterport served as a reference for doing blueprints to have a visual idea and technical information of the property. They will draft the layout of the house/building based on Matterport and even measure linear details of what the existing is.
Here's the link to the Matterport.
You can also use matterports for walkthroughs and to know the location of the electric wirings.
Here's is an example of how we use matterport as reference for making blueprint.
BEFORE PLAN or the existing layout of the house will be produced first, and then comes the AFTER PLAN, or the proposed design.
Here are examples of a Before Plan and After Plan
In Coconstruct To-do Plan Review, The draftsmen will post the print for the Project Managers to check.
Here are the sample screenshots of a complete blueprint.
The draftsmen will post updates on the status of the blueprints like still working on revisions; the blueprints were submitted and applied for a permit for the Building Inspection, etc.
Some blueprints are immediately approved, but some take time because the Building Inspection will give comments that are needed to revise or required. The (draftsmen) will give updates on To-Do Plan Review when there are things to update from BI.
When the blueprints are approved, and the permit is issued, the (draftsmen) will notify Jeff and Project Manager on CoConstruct -- To-Do Plan Review.
To access the blueprints and permit, go to BIDS.
In the Plan Room, the draftsmen uploaded the approved blueprint and permit issued. This is the area where trade partners/subcontractors can access the files. Examples are the blueprints or permits that need a reference on their scope of work.
Here's a video tutorial on How to Use the Blueprints
This is how PM's should mark things to supplement the blue prints to make sure errors are not made
