Doors: The type of interior door we are using is the 6 Panel Hollow Core Interior Door.
LOUVERED DOOR
If a gas furnace is anything with the plumbing and if there is a gas appliance, like a gas water heater or a gas furnace that closet that it is in needs to have a louvered door installed.
Louvered doors are important for closets containing gas appliances like furnaces, dryers, and water heaters for two main reasons:
Combustion Air Supply: Gas appliances burn fuel to generate heat, and this combustion process requires oxygen. Louvered doors allow fresh air to enter the closet, replenishing the oxygen used by the appliance. Without proper ventilation, the appliance could struggle to function efficiently, or worse, it could produce dangerous levels of carbon monoxide.
Exhaust Removal: Gas appliances also produce byproducts from combustion, including heat and flue gasses. Louvers help these hot gasses and byproducts vent out of the closet and avoid accumulating inside. This prevents the closet from becoming excessively hot, which could damage the appliance or surrounding materials. Additionally, proper venting removes harmful gasses like carbon monoxide from your living space, ensuring good indoor air quality.
Even though some appliances might have dedicated vents for exhaust, louvered doors can still be crucial for proper airflow and maintaining a safe environment. They also help prevent stagnant air buildup in the closet, which can trap heat and moisture.
Door Knobs: Use defiant doorknobs in stainless or white metal. Locking doorknobs should be installed on bedroom and bathroom doors only.
Crawl Space Doors (Interior)
It should have a RECESSED hook installed in the wood so it can be lifted from the inside. You can use a Router to recess.
These handles can be purchased at Lowe’s.
These handles can be purchased at Lowe’s.
Crawl space access must be through either a trap door inside the house or an exterior access. We have STRONG preference for an interior trap door, with all exterior access point to be sealed.
Specifically for any padlocks that may be used on a door to the crawl space or any exterior structures: If any padlocks must be used, we want to use the ones with a code dial, NOT keys.
POCKET DOORS
We DO NOT use pocket doors anywhere in a house because they break. If a small door is needed, use a 24” door.
Here's the home depot link for the 24" door. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Masonite-24-in-x-80-in-6-Panel-Primed-Textured-Hollow-Core-Composite-Interior-Door-Slab-with-Bore-61070/100088534

SHOWER RODS
Shower Rods should be cut to length and level. Use ¾’’ EMT. If there is a curved shower, use a bender to make it into the correct shape. Use a ¾’’ EMT threaded fitting to secure the EMT rod into a ¾’’ Galvanized Floor Flange (these are in the plumbing section). For rods that need extra support, use all thread.
While we PREFER NOT TO DRILL INTO TILE, sometimes it is necessary. Regardless, we prefer to always drill into a stud.

FIXING GAP ON BASEBOARD
This video show a great way on how to fix a gap if you've already nailed your baseboard to wall.
When installing drywall near the baseboard, it often bevels back at the bottom if not secured properly. To prevent this, use a GRK finish trim head screw with backward threads, as regular trim screws won’t hold as well. Place the screw near the bottom edge, tighten it firmly, and apply glue for extra adhesion. This method ensures a clean, secure fit with the baseboard and avoids gaps or misalignment.

TOWEL BARS
Towel Bars
They can be made in a way similar to towel bars. Use 1/2". You can use EMT for towel bars since it can be cut to length to ensure that the bars are secured into studs.
MAKE SURE TO USE A TRIM BOARD BEHIND THESE. you can screw this board into a stud, then attach the towel bar.
Toilet Paper and Paper Towel holders may be made out of ¾’’ Galvanize pipe.
These items may also be purchased pre-made from Hobby Lobby.
Tower bars are typically made of galvanized material because it provides excellent corrosion resistance and durability. Galvanization is a process of coating steel or iron with a layer of zinc to protect it from rust and other forms of corrosion. This makes the tower bar more resistant to the elements, such as rain, snow, and humidity, which can cause rust and weaken the structure over time. Additionally, galvanized steel is stronger and more durable than untreated steel, making it an ideal material for tower bars that need to withstand heavy loads and harsh weather conditions.
