SUBCONTRACTOR SPECIFICATION
BELOW FRAMING
Using a plumb bob, establish where post holes should be dug.
For areas inside the house, pour a concrete footer at least 16’’ deep, and put in a Jack stand base while the concrete is still wet. Without alteration, use the largest tap cons that will fit in the jack post base. Use washers to help secure the plate.
Install the beam, 1 piece of wood at a time, using hurricane straps to secure it. This will make the installation process much easier than lifting the entire beam at once.
Once the beam is in place, jack it up, using car jacks, or bottleneck jacks (car jacks are less likely to “kick out”).
Once the house is level, install jack stand posts ensuring that all items are secure. Make sure to secure the multiple pieces of wood in your beam with screws or nails.
ABOVE FRAMING
Reinforcing, and leveling.

FRAMING EDUCATION BACKGROUND AND REASONING
For why we do things, the way we do them.
A load-bearing wall or bearing wall is a wall that is an active structural element of a building, which holds the weight of the elements above it.
Here is how you can easily pull together 2 perpendicular walls and make them fit together very tightly when framing in new”
Angle that nails towards you and then bends it over. It works way better.
