WATERPROOFING
WATERPROOFING
Waterproofing is the process of making an object or structure waterproof or water-resistant so that it remains relatively unaffected by water or resists the ingress of water under specified conditions. Such items may be used in wet environments or underwater to specified depths
The most common types of waterproofing are cementitious waterproofing, liquid waterproofing membrane, bituminous membrane, bituminous coating, and polyurethane liquid membrane.
Install the baker board as show in picture
Apply meshed tape on the joints and apply light mortar.
Then, apply the red guard waterproofing system with a roller, once it dries like plastic and you can add a second coat, as shown in the picture.
Once dry you can start installing your tile.
