I Committee Reports / Other

A. Review of minutes, June 3, 2020

On motion and vote, the minutes were approved as noted.

B. Committee to review ACC's Complaint and Grievance Processes

HR is forming a committee to review and propose changes to AR 6.08.005, Resolution of an Employee Complaint or Grievance to present to the ASC. The committee will include representation by each employee association as well as Charlene Buckley, Director of the Compliance Office, and Amanda Dean, Ombudsperson.

II Review following Posting for Employee Comments

A. 6.08.002, AR and G/P, Termination of Non-Contractual Employees

Gerry Tucker briefed the Council on comments submitted by employees and that resulted in minor changes to the draft proposals. On motion and vote, the documents were approved to send to the President for signature and adoption.

B. 6.09.008, AR, Leave for Grant Employees - Proposal to Rescind

No comments were received. On motion and vote, the document was approved to send to the President for signature and adoption.

C. 6.09.009, AR and G/P, Accrued Leave

Steven Hassel briefed the Council on comments submitted by employees that were resolved and resulted in no changes to the draft proposals. On motion and vote, the documents were approved to send to the President for signature and adoption.

III Proposed Drafts for Posting and Distribution

A. 6.08.003, AR and G/P, Progressive Discipline for Non-Faculty Employees (first reading)

During discussion the Council considered the need to revise the rule to include faculty, or to create a new rule that addresses progressive discipline for faculty. Neil will discuss this with the VP of Instruction and report to the Council at a future meeting. The discussion was tabled until that time. Neil asked the Council contine to review the AR and to forward any feedback to Gerry Tucker.
