I Committee Reports / Other

A. Welcome new members and introductions

Neil welcomed new and returning members to the Council for FY18. All members introduced themselves.

B. Chair's opening remarks

Neil advised that the charge of the Council, membership and other information are on the ASC website. Most of the Council's time is spent revising Administrative Rules.

C. TASB Policy Services

TASB has provided approximately 130 "localized" policies. The first drafts of the TASB policies will be presented to the Board of Trustees on September 11, 2017. Many of the documents look like our Admin Rules so there will be a ripple effect on the ARs as the Board approves and adopts to the TASB policies. Neil will report to the ASC throughout the process.

D. Minutes of the previous meeting and updates

The minutes of the meeting held on August 2, 2017 were approved as noted.

A. 6.09.003 Employee Benefits

On motion, the Council voted and unanimously approved the Administrative Rule to be sent to the President for signature.
