I      Committee Reports / Other

  A. The minutes of the meeting on September 6, 2017 were approved as noted.

B. Neil presented proposed changes to the Council membership structure which would better reflect the current College organizational structure.

On motion, the Council voted and unanimously accepted the proposed changes to be submitted to the Shared Governance Review Committee for approval and implementation.

II     Proposed Drafts for Posting and Distribution

  A. 7.02.001 Purchasing and Contracts

Neil provided background information to the Council regarding the draft rule which combines three existing Administrative Rules into one (7.02.001  Purchasing, 7.02.002  Contractors: Consultant Services, Professional Services, and Honoraria, 7.02.003  Contracts). A revised version based on comments and suggestions from the Council will be posted for employee comments. 

III   TASB Policy Services - Board Policy localization project

  A. Neil updated the Council on the progress to date and fielded questions. The Board of Trustees will start adopting the policies on November 6, 2017.

  B. Neil will share a list which maps the TASB legal and local policies with ACC Board policies.
