A. Pipetting Test
Pipette sizes used in this test:
2 µl, 10 µl, 40 µl, 200 µl, and 1000 µl
Place a small weighing boat on the weighing scale, and zero the scale. Use a 1000 µl pipette to draw 650 µl of water into the weighing boat
If accurate, 0.65 g will be shown on the scale.
Draw 30 µl of water using the 40 µl pipette -using a weighing boat
If accurate, 0.03 g will be shown on the scale.
Draw 170 µl of water using a 200 µl pipette - using a weighing boat
If accurate, 0.17 g will be shown on the scale.
Draw 10 µl of water using a 10 µl pipette and place it in a small microcentrifuge tube. Repeat 5 times.
If accurate, 0.06 g will be shown on the scale.
Draw 2 µl of water using a 2 µl pipette and place it in a small microcentrifuge tube. Repeat 9 times.
If accurate, 0.02 g will be shown on the scale.
