6/10/21 Gel Electrophoresis

The DNA ladder used was the NEB 1 kb DNA Ladder. It is labeled as DNA Ladder 9/12 in Fridge A. The DNA ran came from the 6/08/21 maxi-prep. The concentration written for all DNA is the concentration estimated by the gel. All lanes, with the exception of lane 10, has a slight smear above the indicated band. The bands, however, are all distinct from the smears. The bands of the DNA ladder show up as normal. There are no tears, smudges, dents, or bad markings with this gel. Based on the presence of bands, the DNA ran in this gel will be sent for sequencing. It is likely that this DNA will be used, depending on sequencing results, instead of the DNA ran on gel HFS60721.
