2Me

2Me, 2-mercarptoethanol, is used to reduce disulfide bonds. It can also act as a biological antioxidant, scavenging hydroxyl radicals. 2Me is also called, beta-mercarptoethanol. It has an unpleasant odor and is stored in Freezer C.

MTSET, 2-(Trimethylammonium)ethyl methane thiosulfonate is a methanethiosulfonate reagent that covalently modifies cysteine. It can be purchased from Toronto Research Chemicals or Anatrace as a bromide salt, [2-(Trimethylammonium)]ethyl methane thiosulfonate bromide. It has a very short half-life, at 20° C its half-life is about 11.2mins. It is stored in freezer B for preservation.

GlyH-101, 2-[(3,5-dibromo-2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)methylene]hydrazide N-2-naphthalenyl-glycine, is a CFTR Inhibitor II that blocks the CFTR channel. GlyH-101 binds at the site of an external pore of CFTR to obstruct the pore and prevent chloride transport. It is very light and air sensitive. It is stored in the freezer, box 2.

It is stored in freezer B for preservation.
