(explain what kind of things can be helpful for our lab if reviewed)
Summary
Reviewing relevant literature is a length but necessary process in all aspects. Due to the cell culture project being primarily in the early stages of development, searching for relevant literature is very beneficial. The nature of our lab involve the self-directed approach towards achieving the project goals, although collaboration is still encouraged. With this in mind, various topics can be further researched to help progress the project, but be sure to share your findings with other lab members if you feel they are relevant. On the google drive there is a folder that houses some important articles that would be beneficial for all cell culture team members to familiarize themselves with(CRISPR Project --> Literature for Reference or Investigation).
Topics to Investigate
Aside from the papers located in the google drive, there are various topics that can be further investigated to help the project to progress. Some topics include, but are not limited to:
- Updates in CRISPR 3.0 technology
- Designing pegRNA
- How to design a plasmid that would express both CRISPR 3.0 proteins, pegRNA, and eGFP
- How to improve the efficiency of our current cell culture practices
- How to improve the efficiency and consistency of lipofectamine transfections
