Weaving Class on Drafting
Dear weavers of all levels,
If you have followed a pattern draft you know a little bit about the
three “T”s of weaving, threading, tie up ,and threadling. If you
have woven for a while, you have some understanding on how the
drafting Ts relate to each other and that there are some rules that
apply. And if you know how to work these rules, you have found
yourself with the freedom to create new patterns and textures, or to
change an existing one to fit your yarns and needs, giving you the
ability to express exactly what you want that cloth to say.
The drafting class will be taught by Janice Sullivan:

You will work with paper and colored pencils, a weaving computer program set up for exploring
possibilities, and we will have a loom set up, to try out your ideas.
As the new co-coordinator of the civic arts textile classes, I would
like to invite you to take the special one time class on drafting
offered this fall, Oct 23rd and Oct 24th, 10-4 each day, cost $100.
I need just a few more sign ups to make this class a go.
