The Wonderful World of Gourds

Speaker: Chris Johnson

Chris is a member of the Bay Area Basketmakers Guild and a mentor to many local gourd artists. It is amazing how she transforms a simple plant into a work of art. Gourds are an increasingly popular art form, and there are gourd conferences and workshops. Come check out this fascinating new artistic form.

Chris will bring a variety of her pieces and tell us how the different effects were achieved.
