at Joan's Northgate Clubhouse in Walnut Creek.

In September, December and June we usually meet at a member's home.

"Lace - One of the Most Exquisite Fabrics Ever Created"

Docents from The Lace Museum in Sunnyvale will give an interesting talk about the history of hand made lace:

the differences in the kinds of lace that were made, where and how it was made, what kind is still being made, and, answer any questions we have about antique lace we may have in own collections. Bring pieces that you may have. Though not really a part of hand-loom weaving, few of us can resist the painstakingly crafted beauty of laces from the past. We think you will truly enjoy this program.

Rose and Aiko are scheduled for snack for the meeting.

Looking ahead to February:

From Susie:

We just need 2 more students to make this class go. It is an all day class that can provided more than just one dyed warp and weft set. All the materials are provided, and all one needs to do is get oneself to the class. I am willing to pick up any one from East Contra Costa at any BART stop or drive anyone to class who can manage to get to my house by 9:30 AM. It is a wonderful class with a very useable product.

Registration is ongoing for Decorative and Fiber Arts at Walnut Creek Civic Arts:
