April 21, 2017:

Pat Stewart will give a presentation on her technique for double weave, using parallel threading which enables a four block weaving pattern with only 8 shafts.

May 26, 2017, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm:

For our annual Dye Day we will meet at the library to prepare Ikat warps for dyeing later, at the June luncheon. The guild will provide tape and 10/2 cotton for your warp, or you may bring your own warp material. If you have a warping board or swift, bringing that could be helpful, and warps can be prepared as for a rigid heddle loom, stretched between brackets.

Note that we have the library available until later in the afternoon, so plan on bringing a bag lunch.

Friday, June 16 2017:

Our annual luncheon and picnic project, at Vilija's, starting at 11:00 am and continuing through the afternoon. Bring a dish to share and the results of your "picnic project". This is something inspired by the older issues of Weavers magazine that you received earlier in the year. More magazines are available if you didn't get one earlier this year.

In the afternoon we will be dyeing the warps prepared at the May meeting. There will be a couple of pots of Indigo and perhaps other colors available.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We usually meet on the third Friday, and sometimes the fourth Friday of the month.

Dates are dependent on when the library is available for meetings, and a

reservation can only be made three months in advance.

Please check back for the date and topic of future programs.
