meeting notes

March 16, 2018

Kris Peerand opened the meeting.

Our planned donation to HGA Convergence goodie bags, a picks-per-inch gauge, did not work out. We are donating clear rulers instead. Each ruler will have a handmade braid or tassel. Braids need to be 1/2" wide. There will be a work party mid-May to attach braids to the rulers. Please make arrangements to deliver/mail 2 bands or tassels or cords. If you are making a tassel you can get rings from Vilija.

Treasurer's report: Vilija reported a balance of $1,368.32 in the checking account, and $1002.67 in savings.

Programs: the next program is on April 27, and Nadine Sanders will be talking about sewing garments from handwoven fabrics. It was request that 2 to 4 people, sizes 8 - 12, wear black so they can model garments.

The May meeting, May 18, will be at Margie Kaplan's home. We will be eco-dyeing. There will be more information later

The June picnic day will be scheduled a little later.
