PSA - Bullying at School

PSA

We created a PSA about bullying, and ways to help with bullying. We created the PSA to raise awareness about bullying, and how to prevent it.

To begin we all came together in order to brainstorm ideas on what our project was about with the video we were going to create. We had to think about creative ideas and we wrote them all on a google doc to figure out what days we were going to do whatever was needed. We then figured what to record about and who and where.

Then, we called people to see if they wanted to be in our video and found a good time with their teacher to video them. After that we told the students what they needed to do for our video to explain and show bullying in our school. We found the people that would do this right and kept filming until it was perfect. 

Next, we filmed each video until it looked good. We started combining all of the clips into one. After that we started editing the whole video, until it was almost perfect.

Finally, we had all of our recordings and clips put together and was finalized to be done with the planning sheet and the editing. We as well had made sure that the audio was playing fine and the video wasn’t cut at wrong timings and added final touching to the STLP video.

The audience for our PSA is DCMS staff and students. The PSA will also be shown on the DCMS news show.

The purpose of our PSA is to share the word of being nice to everyone and not bullying because that is not the right answer for anything. 

A problem we encountered was being able to plan what to film that was important for being on the project. We also encountered a problem when filming the video about who would be fit to be able to record and film for the project in which the student would have to be able to play their role in being either the bully or being the victim.

What we enjoyed most about creating this PSA was being able to raise awareness about bullying, while having fun filming it at the same time.
