Report a Bully

Screen Capture Tutorial
My screen capture tutorial will teach you how to Report a Bully in Warren County Public Schools. I chose to create this because bullying is an important issue. I feel like Warren County Public Schools has devised a plan to help figure out how to resolve some of these problems.
When I created this project, I wanted to make sure it was simplified down so that even a kindergartener could do it.
To begin I created a script so I would know exactly what I was going to say. I recorded this by using the chrome extension Screencastify. It is free to use, and is very helpful for a project that needs to record a screen. The biggest problem I encountered during this was when I had to memorize the script for the video, mainly because I’m not good with memorization.
What I enjoyed most out of this project was having the freedom to choose whatever topic I wanted.
Making a Computer more User Friendly for the Visually Impaired

Screen Capture Tutorial
My screen capture tutorial is about how to make a computer more user friendly to visually impaired. I choose to create a screen capture tutorial because I wanted to show people how to set up a computer for your friends and family that might have trouble seeing. To create my screen capture tutorial, I used an app called Screenbits. Screenbits will open a small window where you can record, pause, stop, and store in TV and Movie mode.
After recording my screen capture, I uploaded the video to a computer with iMovie and edited parts of the video that were not necessary. This gave me the opportunity to remove awkward pauses and it also helped me not exceed my time limit.
In my credits, I credited iMovie because I did not want to plagiarize. Finally, I added royalty free music provided by iMovie to make the video more lively and to drown out background noise.
Finally I shared my screen capture tutorial on our STLP YouTube channel.
A problem I encountered working on this project happened right before I recorded. Windows 10 updated so almost everything I was familiar with was moved to a different location. I had to quickly relocate everything before I could record.
Overall, I had a great time creating this screen capture tutorial. I believe screencasting is a great way to help people learn how to better use their technology.
