I took this photo of the Natural Bridge at the Natural Arch Scenic Area inside Daniel Boone National Park. Daniel Boone National Park is located in London, KY. I used a Canon EOS Rebel DSLR to take this photo. I like using this camera because it is a very good camera and takes high quality photos.
I took this picture because it looks pretty. I decided to manipulate this picture so that I could make it even more beautiful. The program I used to edit this image was Pixlr. Pixlr is free which is great for a middle schooler. It is a little challenging to use, but it was fun to learn. I highly recommend you using Pixlr.
While editing my picture, I worked on many fine details. I made the leaves, the rocks, and the sky lighter by using the sponge tool by rubbing the mouse over the leaf. This tool helped my image look more appealing. Next, I blurred the rocks and the sky so they didn’t look too bright. I used the sponge tool again to do this. Finally I sharpened the rocks by using the sharpening tool. I rubbed the mouse over the rocks so they would have a smoother look.
I had fun taking this picture, and I am really pleased with how it turned out. I enjoyed learning how to manipulate images using Pixlr.

This picture is of a bridge in West Virginia. This was photo was captured on my iPhone 7. I used my iPhone 7 to edit my photo.
The backstory of this picture is my grandfather and I were talking about this game based in West Virginia. The song in the game was called Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver. This game inspired my family to visit West Virginia for the scenery that will be in the game when it comes out.
One of the things we wanted to see is the Bridge Walk which is 876 feet above the New River Gorge. Unfortunately we could not walk across the very high up bridge walk. So we drove a little while off to this nature center. While we were there, we saw a nature walk/nature view. We were walking all the way down to this deck where you could see a stunning view of the bridge. This is how I got my inspiration for this picture.
The process of editing the picture was fun. I increased the saturation and the temperature of the photo on a free editing app called Aviary. Then I went to a different free editing app called Pixlr. What I did here was put a filter on the picture called Harry, I also put a border called old on it. Lastly I went to a free editing app called Snapseed created by Google. I went to tools and opened up the vintage icon. I chose a level 6 strength on my photo. Then I went to an icon called retrolux I tapped on it and picked a level of 1.
What I like most about my manipulated image is the rustic and old timey look that brings the feelings of the song out.
