Out of My Heart

I chose this book because I love this series of books. It is a good realistic fiction book that makes me want to read it all the time. I love the suspense it might have because I love a good suspenseful book. It has all the moods that you might feel like for instance sadness, anger, joy, and surprise. I also like this book because I have a brother that has special needs, so I can relate a little bit to Melody, the main character that has cerebral palsy. Lastly, this book makes me see every other perspectives that I might not see in others, so this tells me if someone might not be talking or quiet then they might have something on their mind and I want to help them get over whatever they need help with to make their life a little better than before.

I used Canva to create the book cover.

First I got the book cover I wanted, for instance I got Out of My Heart. I started brainstorming and thinking about what the cover should look like. I had to decide if I wanted to do a camping setting or just a colorful cover and then I figured out what I wanted to do.

Next I went to Canva and got a 8.5 and 11 inch wide Flyer (portrait). I wanted the poster to be a mixture of colors so I went to the apps and picked out the gradients app. I got in the app and I picked three colors: pink, blue and purple. I kept adjusting the colors until I liked the way they looked.

Then I went to Adobe AI. I searched for a pink wheelchair and downloaded it and put it on my Canva. I also got a heart on Adobe AI for the Out of My Heart book.

Lastly, I went back to Canva and I went to design and looked up fireflies and gold glitter. I looked and looked. I picked out the type of fireflies and gold glitter and I added them to the book cover.

While creating this book cover I learned about Adobe AI, Canva’s apps, and how to download images. I really had a fun time doing this project.
