Book Trailer

To begin this project, we had to decide on a book. We chose Where the Red Fern Grows because we have all read and enjoyed that book.

Next, we worked on our script. We wrote dialogue, assigned character roles, chose the setting for our different scenes, and worked on props and costumes. We were ready to begin filming!

We met on two separate occasions to film. We filmed multiple shots of each scene and picked our best work. We tested from multiple angles to determine which angle was a better view of each scene. We tried to keep dialogue to a minimum because we wanted the book trailer to feel suspenseful.

We used an iPhone X to film clear shots of the scenes. We used a lightning cable to transfer the video to the computer. We then used iMovie to edit our scenes. To help the flow our video, we added several title screens. Then, we searched for copyright free music that would fit the mood of our book trailer. Finally we published our finished book trailer to YouTube.
