We created a KY Travel video about Lost River Cave because it is a fun and educational place for families to go.

To start we had to think of good topics that are fun to do in our community and are also educational. We chose to focus on Lost River Cave because there are many fun things to do there such as cave/boat tours, walking trails which include blue holes, and many more.

Then, we took our camera to the cave, got our tickets, and asked one of the tour guides if we could record parts of the tour. We had to be very careful doing this because we wanted to make sure that we didn’t get other quests in our footage, so on the boat we sat beside the tour guide. After the boat tour we got permission to interview 2 of the tour guides.

Next, we took all the footage and uploaded it to the computer and added it to Canva to be edited. We went through the clips and deleted out everything that we didn’t need and also muted a bunch of the videos because there were parts where we couldn’t hear anything but water running.

Finally, we edited all the footage and added title screens to introduce each part of the video and we also added music to the clips with no sound.

The audience for our feature video is the DCMS staff and student body. The video is going to be seen by the teachers and students on our news show.

The purpose for our video is to inform people about Lost River Cave and to get them to go visit it.

A problem we encountered during recording was the sound. There were parts of the cave where water was running so loud and so fast that we could barely hear the tour guide, let alone hear her on the video footage.

What we enjoyed was definitely learning the things about the cave and the funny jokes that the tour guide had.
