Storytelling

I decided to write a digital story because I have always been fascinated by how writers are able to create a world that other readers are able to look into with nothing but their brains. I wanted to try that myself, and experience the joy that comes with writing a story for others to read.

I used the free digital website Canva to create this project. I like Canva a lot because of the way that I can make my presentations so customized with its controls. First, I created the title of my story. I always thought the story of Alice and Wonderland was fascinating, so I decided to do something that had that wacky and exciting feel to it. Next, I started writing my preface. I really wanted something that would draw the readers in, and would make the readers sit on the edge of their seats, so I went with something that was not only exciting, but also had a cliffhanger that made people keep reading. Then I worked tirelessly to establish the plot, and make sure that my readers felt the emotions that Laurie felt in this story. Finally, I ended the story with a satisfying ending.

I liked that I could do anything with my story and it would make sense, because it was meant to be whatever way I decided to write it. I also liked that I got to create a world that readers could relate to, and even feel like they were a part of it. While I learned many things while writing my story, I learned that it is completely ok to start over, and that your first idea may not work out, and that's ok.
