In our video we chose to create a cooking show! We made salsa, cheese dip, and chicken tacos. We made this because we thought would be a very cool and fun experience and it was. During the video we were smiling and having fun because we want to show how fun cooking can be!

We got our salsa recipe from Mrs.Martin. She likes this recipe because it follows the Whole 30 diet. The cheese dip and chicken taco recipe came from Bryan Usinger. These are two of his favorite recipes which is why we included them! After we found our recipes, we started writing our script. We wrote out what needed to be said for each of our recipes. We also wrote out an introduction and conclusion.

Next, we figured out what ingredients we needed and brought them all to school. Once we had everything figured out, we started filming. We filmed with a Canon Vixia HFR72 camera. After we were done with all of our scenes, we transferred the video to iMovie. Next, we edited the video. To help things along, we sped up a couple of the scenes. We added titles and transitions to make our video look more finished. We also edited the video and added in some neat tricks to make it look like a professional cooking video. One of the tricks we did added was when we shredded the chicken. We videoed a hand moving across the cooked chicken, then we filmed a hand moving across the shredded chicken. Finally, we edited the scene so it looked like the chicken was shredded using "magic."

After we finished editing, we added voiceovers throughout our video using a snowball microphone. Finally, we added background music from the iMovie sound library. The music we chose is called Travel.

Our favorite part of the project was the mistakes we made so we can learn for the future. One of our mistakes was when we poured in rotel into the pan. We poured it in using the wrong hand and it blocked the camera’s view a little bit. Another mistake we made is when we lifted the salsa out of the food processor. The salsa spilled everywhere! We were able to fix our mistakes through editing.
