Population Locations: Shadow-Web City, Weaver's Village
Driders are centaur-esque spider creatures that dwell within the caves of Sonarius alongside the Nycteri. The two races actually have a symbiotic relationship. The Driders protect the fruit orchards from insects by using their webbing. They get to eat the pests caught in the webs and the Nycteri allow the Driders to live peacefully inside of their caves. The two races have been allies for many generations, it's almost second nature to them to cooperate with each other. Driders spin nests with their web to stay warm and cozy when they sleep and typically will even move into abandoned nests to make use of them.
Population Locations: Threadspinner Village
Within the Depths of Sonarius living alongside the Blind Nycteri are also the Trapdoor Driders. These Driders dig burrows instead of weaving nests and they cover their burrows with various vegetation during the day. They sleep in these burrows until the night falls when they emerge to hunt for insects. They will also assist the Blind Nycteri with hunting by holding prey for them so they can eat without struggling to actually hunt for their meals.
What little information is recorded about the ancestors of the Driders, they were humanoid in orientation with two pairs of eyes, a single pair of legs, two primary pairs of arms with a third pair typically hidden inside the body when they weren’t in use. They would spit silk from their mouths to use as a weapon. They could also feed the silk out strand by strand to use as weaving material. Over time they evolved into the Driders of today.
