Academy Handbook

Welcome to the Voutneth Academy!

Here at the Academy, we teach dragons who are learning to control their powers, either as a human, or as a dragon. Students also learn more about the world of Dragoso in the process.

As a new thing, humans that are not dragons at all are allowed to learn and experience the world of the dragons. However, it is a safety hazard for humans to enter due to dragons unable to control powers should that be the case.

Voutneth was founded by a group of dragons known as the Special Needs Dragons. Under Anna’s guidance, she discovered that many dragons needed help controlling their powers. With the help of her friends and allies, the Academy was born. A known symbol is a White Metallic Dragon named Alex, the very first student of Anna.

The Academy is a safe haven for dragons to learn and experience. As you read, please keep in mind rules and regulations are there for a reason. This handbook is here to help you around the Academy while you are here.

Rules of the Academy

Students are to attend class on time (This also includes mealtimes, club meetings, and sport practices)

Failure to do so will result in consequences. This includes being removed from the team and/or expulsion from the Academy.

Students are to follow the rules any teacher or staff member gives.

Students are forbidden to leave the Academy property until classes are completed or students are excused via headmistress.

Personal Belongings

While at the Academy, personal belongings are allowed due to clubs and other classes. There are limits to such items.

Electronics (Cell phones, laptops, etc.) are NOT allowed to be active in classrooms. They are to stay in bags or kept in the Headmistress office for safekeeping. Students in clubs have limits to certain electronics. Students in sports are not allowed to have electronics on them while in practice.

Should ANY belongings go missing, Anna and Sylark will find who took them, no exceptions.

Consequences may vary.

Conditions Outside of Classes

Along with classes, there are clubs and sports to attend as well. Sports practice right after classes every day, clubs meet every day between Monday-Friday unless told otherwise via club leader.

Students who decide to not participate in sports or clubs are free to do as they wish after classes as long as the activities follow the rules.

Partnership Schools

Since the defeat of the dragon hunters and the linkage to the Dragoso System and Earth, Voutneth is now an open school for many races, including any humans who wish to join the school and learn things that are for all races. Schools on Earth are still open for humans, and for any other races who wish to learn what humans learn, though Voutneth has a great education for every possible race. Led by the other races themselves, Voutneth is there to teach many with the highest known education rating in the system.

Along with the partnerships, Voutneth also acts as a rival school to many on Earth and any other single race schools with sports teams.

Students without a residence

While it may not be common, some students tend to be without a place to live. Voutneth provides rooms for students who are orphaned or without a home. Voutneth welcomes all no matter the status of living conditions. We are open to taking in anyone without a home or wounded and given what they need until they are able bodied to do what is needed

Due to Kathey’s generosity, a small amount of the Academy’s funds will be put towards helping students get a place to stay on Earth once they are settled in and manage to find a job to support themselves.

Parents who are Students

Without someone to watch young ones, Voutneth has the Fledgling Observation rooms for good reason. Parents are able to take their classes without worry, for their children are able to stay in the Fledgling Observation rooms and are cared for by our expert, William, who has been a caretaker for Weaponry Teacher, Sly. Young ones are entertained constantly with toys, games, and walks around the grounds with dragon staff members for maximum protection. Young ones are also provided with snacks and special lunches along with nap time. With parent permission, young ones are also able to interact with Voutneth’s very own docile griffin mother, Blue Griffin Stephanie.

Stephanie is a very gentle female blue griffin who loves interacting with kids and nervous students. Griffin interaction is a means of therapy much like horses and helps others connect with something alive and beautiful. Stephanie is patient and knows how to act around anyone and is free to walk around the riding area with a lead while someone remains on her back. Any questions about Stephanie can be addressed to Headmistress Kathey or Griffin Caretaker Malice Zapper.

Mentally/Physically Impaired Students

Though not very common, Voutneth is open to taking in any students who are impaired in any fashion.

Royal Purple Griffin, Velvet has been training to be a service griffin. Due to her breeding, she is a smaller size than most griffins and is able to walk through the Academy halls without a problem. Velvet has been trained for handicap, autism, epilepsy, ADD and ADHD.

She has been introduced to many different environments and as young as she is, knows how to assist when needed. Being a Royal Griffin, she has learned how to communicate with impaired students and assists when needed.

Although Velvet is the only current service griffin, plans to breed more service griffins will begin and play out next breeding season. Velvet is a griffy of Stephanie, they both share their docile nature, which has made Velvet a safe choice to be a service griffin. Questions can be addressed to Kathey or Malice.

Internship

Many students might find that the Academy is the place for them to even work.

Voutneth is introducing an internship program that allows students to assist teachers and staff in the Academy to learn how to play out the teaching or coaching career.

Vampires

Vampires who have difficulty controlling their bloodlust will be helped along the

way until they are able to control it thanks to the Bloodlust class.

Any vampire who is having trouble controlling their need

report to the Headmistress office immediately.
