Unlike the standard Squama, the desert variant prefers to stay in the desert and is built for the harsh environment. These Squama have a third eyelid to protect against sandstorms, hardened scales that are tans and yellows instead of the standard greens, and prefer to bury themselves in the sand to ambush their prey and enemies.
