The leader of the Dragon Hunters. Rayne is described as a sociopathic psychopath. His family was killed by dragons when he was twelve years old. He enlisted into the army at eighteen just as World War II was beginning, but was declined due to his sociopathic nature and possibly psychotic tendencies. At the age of nineteen, Rayne was attacked by a dragon, though with his boot camp training, he defended himself and snapped the dragon's neck. It was after this kill that Rayne went into a psychotic break, but not a typical one that most psychopaths go through. Rayne decided to begin the Dragon Hunters. He recruited humans who despised the dragons and in no time, he had an army of his own. Using unique technology ahead of its time, Rayne managed to put dragons under the hunters' control to use in battle. In 1940, he ordered all Metallic Dragons and the hybrids to be killed, leading to the Metallic and Hunter War. Years after the war, Rayne found himself tangled in a battle with Anna Dragon. It had been a difficult battle, but one that Rayne will never forget, for Anna had clawed his face, leaving him with a series of three scars. Anna was the first and only dragon to escape and leave a scar on Rayne. He has considered Anna his arch nemesis and number one target. Rayne was killed after he allied himself with Cenod the Shadow and was defeated in battle by the Voutneth Team.

Cyrus is the brute force of the duo and is a bit harsh towards dragons, but doesn't hold as much hate as he used to after staying at the Voutneth Academy for some time. Cyrus' history is a bit lost and he isn't one to open up. All that is known about him is he had a wife and daughter before joining the hunters. He had witnessed them being abducted by dragons and could only think the worst when it happened.
