Taurlocs are a brutish, impulsive, bovine-like race. Male Taurlocs easily become aggressive with little provoking and attack without much thought. They become aggressive with just about every race and even other male Taurlocs. They will be quite standoffish with Taurloc females outside of breeding but they won't outright attack them. Female Taurlocs are not as aggressive as males, they are a little more cautious and won't outright attack anyone unless it's a stranger getting too close to their offspring. They will give their lives to protect their children. Most Taurlocs are known for producing far too much milk for any of them to completely use up, even while nursing offspring. Much like humans on Earth sell cow's milk, Taurlocs will do the same with their milk. Any recipe that requires milk can use Taurloc milk and any race that can consume lactose can also consume their milk. Standard Taurlocs are black and white in coloration that look very similar to Earth’s Holstein Cows, a breed of cow that is very iconic on Earth and easily recognized among humans.

Highland Taurlocs are a long haired, short horned subrace of the Taurlocs built for extreme cold, but thanks to the natural cooling system in their horns, they can tolerate high temperatures as well. Males and females both have horns, though females have smaller horns than the males. Highland Taurloc males aren’t as aggressive as Standard Taurlocs, but should still be treated as if they are as aggressive.

The Anktus Taurlocs have the biggest horns out of all the Taurloc subraces. Their horns have a natural cooling system which allows them to tolerate extremely high temperatures. However, due to this system and the short coats they have, they need a little extra help staying warm in colder temperatures. Their horns are also extremely sensitive to their surroundings so Anktus Taurlocs know exactly what is close to their horns and can easily adjust their position. Their horns have also proven to be efficient in battle as well when they need to be used as weapons.

Brahind Taurlocs are one of the more hardy subraces of the Taurlocs. They have a very high tolerance to heat and humidity and their skin even has a natural bug repellent so bugs are hardly a bother for them as well. Not only can they tolerate heat, humidity, and repel bugs, they are also able to survive on poor quality food. They can easily forage from wild plants and eat just about any vegetation to keep themselves alive for as long as they need to in a pinch. Male Brahind Taurlocs are a lot more docile than the other Taurlocs subraces, but should still be treated with caution and respect.

Grassland Taurlocs are the biggest out of all the Taurloc subraces. They can get upwards of seven feet tall (2.13 meters). While their horns don't get very big, their sheer size makes up for it. Grassland Taurlocs can tolerate a range of temperatures thanks to their dense fur and the natural cooling system in their horns. Female Grassland Taurlocs are just as aggressive as the males and act a lot like the males do as well. All Grassland Taurlocs should be given plenty of space to avoid angering them.
Population Locations: Thunderhoof City, Woodhoof Village
Yarox Taurlocs are the most docile out of all the Taurloc subraces, even the males are friendly so long as they aren't provoked at all. Their milk is very rich and they're strong enough to plow fields with little struggle. Yarox Taurlocs prefer colder temperatures due to their thick coats, but they tolerate warmer temperatures when they need to. Many of them will shear their coats off to get through extremely hot summers.

The Depth variant of the Taurlocs and by far the most aggressive and destructive of all the Taurloc subraces. They don't have any outlets for their aggression so they take it out on anyone they see and that includes each other. They will even attack inanimate objects as well which leaves destruction in their wake. Because of this, all other races are aware of the Iramorcus Taurloc territories in the Tombs so they can avoid their rage. Iramorcus Taurlocs typically choose territories and roam them instead of settling in any one specific area. Paragos Battoise are able to handle Iramorcus Taurloc rage by using brute strength to physically throw them back when charged at as well as using their shells to defend themselves.
Ancestors to the Taurlocs. They were theorized to be tough and sturdy during ancient times and their skeletons are observed to be closely related to the Grassland Taurlocs. It is unknown how the other Taurlocs took on much more bovine appearances instead of looking similar to the Horngrazers. Horngrazer horns were very similar in structure to Highland Taurloc horns and were built for cooler temperatures as well.
