This cue is a suite of themes and pieces from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (2022)...

This is an album-style presentation of the new Deathly Hallows theme, expanded from what appears in the film. It is also the first portion of the End Credits for Deathly Hallows Part 1, so it serves as a preview for Cue No. 33!

Dissonant strings enter as the question hangs in the air of whether Dobby is okay. He falls to the ground and parts of his theme play in the high strings. A solo horn enters, ending the main...

The low basses create a sense of dread as the scene fades in over Dumbledore’s burial site. Middle strings ebb and flow as they did at the opening of the Flight of the Prince, bringing the...

The strings sneak in under the conversation as things turn sinister. Suddenly Xenophilius' intentions do not seem so clear. As the attention turns to Harry's scar, the 3-note motif comes in...

On the shot moving towards Malfoy Manor, minor chords are accompanied by arpeggios in the strings. Once the Snatchers are revealed to be guiding the trio towards the gates, a stern march...

Low strings begin the cue on an ominous F, with high violin harmonics playing the same note several octaves above. This creates the framework for the first entrance of the Deathly Hallows Theme. The wide canvas is supplemented by the violas, shivering with anxiety around this major...

The strings enter under the trio's talk with Xenophilius. Harp and clarinet have an interest in the conversation as well. The trio may finally be getting answers. Dark chords drop out, leaving just the horns and violins, waiting for Hermione to find her...

Mysterious choir, strings, and clarinets create a texture upon which the Deathly Hallows Theme plays as a horn solo. The woodwinds pick up the theme from the horn, continuing it over the conversation regarding the mysterious symbol that keeps...

The lowest C in the orchestra rumbles quietly as the locket prepares for battle. Muted horns play the all-too-familiar muted 3-Note Motif, then silence. The locket opens. An aggressive timpani roll...

Ron begins telling Hermione the story of how the deluminator helped him find Harry. A short harp solo begins the cue, and upper strings enter one section at a time, creating harmony as the...

The opening of this cue reprises a little celesta motif from Harry and Hermione's scene in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2021). This is their first scene together in this film where they can...

Very high violins tremolo, accompanied by a bell tree, complementing the icy silence of the Forest of Dean. After hours in the cold, Harry spots something in the distance - a light. Choir...

Harry stands in front of the destroyed house that once was his home. Melancholy celesta accompanied by choir gives the moment a distant yet tender feeling. A quick flash to James and Lily's murder brings a sudden reprise of the orchestral jolt from the day Hagrid told Harry about...

A quiet choir accompanied by bells delicately plays as Harry and Hermione look at the chapel next to the graveyard. It is Christmas Eve. On the shot of the graveyard, the dies irae can be heard. Harry wonders if his parents would be buried there. As he...

At the moment Harry has a thought, violins and celesta play trills and flutter around, more or less to confirm that this is a good idea. Non-melodic high and sparkling instruments begin playing in the background, suggesting magical wonder we have not heard in a very long time. Percussion...

At this point in the story, the trio heads into uncharted territory. This is not Hogwarts, London, or any location known in the series so far. The music centers around a single pitch for most of the...

The string section dominates the opening of this cue, reminiscent of the opening of the film when we saw the trio in their separate lives, waiting to be reunited. Here, we see the trio fractured...

On the shot of the mirror shard, a deconstructed Fawkes B Theme plays in the horn, followed by the cellos; the mystery of this object still unsolved. Strings move down and the 3-Note Motif ...

Low strings begin the cue as Hermione walks out into the woods. A slow shivering harp descends downward as well. Violas join, as inside the tent we see Harry examining the Marauder's Map. On...

Dissonance opens this cue, now that we are down in the courtroom where Mary Cattermole is being interrogated by Umbridge herself. Minor brass and strings brood under Harry and Ron walking towards the location of the real Horcrux. On the long shot that pans up towards the...

A comedic orchestral "whomp" announces the official return of Dolores Umbridge as she stands outside the lift. Strings shiver in anticipation of what will happen next, then she steps on the lift, and her theme begins in the clarinet. After a fragmented finish when Harry steps out of the lift, he...

The low strings enter quietly under the scene at the moment the trio hears a noise in the next room over. Some playful music featuring woodwinds bounces around, as it is revealed that Mundungus has been caught by Kreacher and another house elf, both grabbing onto and...

Harry is having another vision, this time of Voldemort interrogating Ollivander about his wand. A slippery 3-Note motif plays in the strings, followed by a firm and terrifying one in the horns. Harry wakes up suddenly with only the choir holding over from his vision, singing a distant 3-Note motif ...

As Aunt Muriel begins talking about the Dumbledores and associated rumors in the press, the Rita Skeeter theme enters in quiet pizzicato strings underneath. The theme is then answered in...

Dissonant middle-register strings crescendo slowly as Harry realizes that the two men in the cafe are Death Eaters in disguise. The music picks up immediately as a fight breaks out. This miniature...

Low muted brass accompanied by pizzicato basses sting the texture as Harry sees Rita Skeeter has written a book about Dumbledore. He then looks up from the Daily Prophet, noticing Ginny approaching in her dress for the wedding. A new variation on their music from Half-Blood Prince...

After Lupin interrogates Harry, more people arrive outside, and they run out quickly to ward off a potential attack if they are unfriendly visitors. The music enters intensely until Remus and Kingsley...

The violins enter on a single harmonic, and a solo horn plays the Fawkes B theme as Harry’s vision recaps the Horcruxes revelation from the previous film. Low strings enter below the texture...

The string section swirls around in anticipation of the final flight from Privet Drive. Hedwig’s Theme is partially played in the woodwinds, then it transitions into the modulation section of its...

Solo horn plays heroically, and yet with melancholy at the situation (knowing how badly the escape could have gone). Magical sparks in the orchestra accompany a sudden light off camera...

Violins enter on a single E natural. As the image fades in of Dumbledore falling from the astronomy tower, the choir enters, reprising the music from that very same moment at the end of the previous film. It ends quickly as we cut to Harry alone in his bedroom. He looks at a mirror...

This final film (though it is a two-part story) opens with the unused original Hedwig's Theme logo music from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001). This bookends the series with the feeling of...

Choir continues from the opening titles, and woodwinds, harp, and celesta swirl around as Malfoy Manor comes into view. The Death Eater Theme plays underneath the violent yet beautiful...
