"Attack on The Burrow: Part 2"

Cue No. 28 - Attack on the Burrow Part 2.mp4

Dissonant strings enter, and rhythmic drums return from the previous cue, propelling the action forward again. The main motif from the Werewolf Scene (Prisoner of Azkaban, 2004) is used, and alludes directly to Fenrir Greyback this time around. The horns enter playing Hedwig’s theme in distress over dissonant strings, and are accompanied by descending woodwind arpeggios. Everything comes to a halt once again, and low pulses rumble at the bottom of the orchestra. Flurries erupt as Greyback and Bellatrix take off and head towards the Burrow, while timpani appears underneath the texture. An abrupt change in the music comes at the moment the Burrow blows up. Long, suspended phrases of strings pushing and pulling play under the family's horror in seeing their home go up in flames. It builds up and ends ominously as they return to school despite the these disastrous events.
