"The Elder Wand"

DH 32 - The Elder Wand 2.mp4

The low basses create a sense of dread as the scene fades in over Dumbledore’s burial site. Middle strings ebb and flow as they did at the opening of the Flight of the Prince, bringing the events of the previous film back to the listener’s’ consciousness. The violins sneak in at the very top of their range as the 3-Note enters. Voldemort’s first and second themes are intertwined. He has finally achieved the upper hand that may win him his domination over the wizarding world.

The shot pans back up over Dumbledore’s broken grave, and at the reveal of the Elder Wand, the Deathly Hallows Theme gets a final statement in this film, then leads into a bigger Voldemort 2. The theme grows now since he has finally found the most powerful wand ever created. The 3-Note motif crescendos and becomes triumphant, adding organ and woodwind flourishes. Voldemort shoots a beam of light into the sky, then all cuts to black.
