Cue No. 16

"The Snatchers"

DH 16 - The Snatchers 2.mp4

Low strings begin the cue as Hermione walks out into the woods. A slow shivering harp descends downward as well. Violas join, as inside the tent we see Harry examining the Marauder's Map. On the shot of Snape pacing around in the headmaster's office, a distant Call of the Prince is heard. This brings to Harry memories of the previous year, and how Snape killed Dumbledore right in front of him.

The low strings wander around as we once again see Hermione outside. Long dissonances come in and out of the texture, and the Snatchers appear. They do not see her though, since her protective spells provide a barrier. High string dissonances pierce the air when the main Snatcher stops and turns around. He comes back towards Hermione and stands right in front of her, still not seeing her because of the enchantments. He smells her perfume, though, and clusters with muted horns come in to up the tension.

A repeated harp note holds the moment in mid air, wondering what will happen, but the Snatchers leave, and Harry comes up behind Hermione. They stand there in Hermione's disappointment that her spell did not protect against smell.
