Despite the obvious comedy surrounding this scene, it worked well to score it from Hagrid’s perspective to give it some emotional honesty. Sad strings play a lament of farewell to Aragog. The dies irae appropriately gets a moment, and a short Hedwig’s Theme sees out the end of the cue over a nostalgic shot of Hogwarts in the background.
