Cue No. 28

"The Deathly Hallows"

DH 28 - The Deathly Hallows 2.mp4

Low strings begin the cue on an ominous F, with high violin harmonics playing the same note several octaves above. This creates the framework for the first entrance of the Deathly Hallows Theme. The wide canvas is supplemented by the violas, shivering with anxiety around this major plot point. The middle strings join the pedal F, and a solo voice sings the Deathly Hallows Theme as Xenophilius begins to draw the symbol and explain what each shape means. The final symbol he draws around the outside of the other two is a triangle, representing the cloak of invisibility, and the synth choir enters, and the camera cuts to Hermione's face where she realizes this may in fact be Harry's cloak.

High strings play the Deathly Hallows Theme, as a revelation at the completion of the symbol. It is still an unfinished theme even at this point, since now there are even more unanswered questions than before. The orchestra fades after this large statement, and the viola shivers return above an uneasy bass line. Horns wander a bit, not knowing exactly what to do, and the trio then decides to depart. Xenophilius begins acting even more odd, and an augmented theme for Luna plays as he crosses the kitchen, pretending to have something to do. At the announcement by Harry that the trio is leaving, he suddenly jumps and yells; the sudden movement is accented by orchestra, ending the cue.
