"Vision of Grindelwald"

DH 15 - Vision of Grindelwald 2.mp4

On the shot of the mirror shard, a deconstructed Fawkes B Theme plays in the horn, followed by the cellos; the mystery of this object still unsolved.

Strings move down and the 3-Note Motif comes in as Harry grabs the locket. This is the true locket now - Voldemort's Horcrux that was hidden in the cave.

A vision takes over Harry's mind very suddenly. The winds and brass join as the 3-Note continues. Voldemort 1 comes in, breathing violence into the low end of the orchestra. Choir joins the texture during Voldemort's interrogation of Gregorovitch. At the reveal of a familiar wand in the hands of a mysterious young man escaping through the window, we hear a solo voice proclaim the Deathly Hallows Theme. The vision comes to a slight pause before Voldemort kills Gregorovitch, helped by a massive 3-Note Motif outburst.

Back in the forest, Harry's vision ends as sharply and abruptly as it began. All that remains musically is the strings and horns, holding over the memory of the vision like a dream after waking up. The Deathly Hallows Theme continues under the conversation, movement kept in motion by the harp. There is a similarity in orchestration and mood to the Chamber of Secrets 2 Theme, which brings back the idea that Voldemort is on a mission for immortality and that there are many nuances to that mission, represented by different themes.

Minor chords move around, and a slight crescendo accompanies the mood under the conversation as Harry gets short tempered about Ron listening to the radio. As Hermione tries to get Harry to come back around, more sympathetic harmonies show themselves, as these are two old friends in an argument. The celesta plays a last 3-Note Motif as Harry takes off the locket and immediately feels better. Hermione's Theme, matured and worn by the journey, ends the cue.
