JASPER LEE

I chose Juying Secondary School as my secondary school because of all the facilities and events that the school provides. The school also provides opportunity for all to improve and to be a better person which greatly affected my choice of school.

During my 2 years in Juying Secondary School, I experienced many key events that I enjoyed. When I was in Secondary One, my class 1A2 had an orientation camp. Through the camp, we get to bond with one another and get to know each other more. The second event happened recently which was my Sec 2 Adventure Camp. Our class got to know other classmates better and through the camp, we learnt valuable values such as teamwork and perseverance. We got to do new things that we have never experience before such as zip line and high elements. Although I am really afraid of heights, I managed to overcome my fears and did both the zip line and high elements.

My favourite teacher is Ms Khoo Woei Lin because she helped me to understand Math better. I managed to improve my grades from failing during my primary school years to achieving a distinction. I appreciate her effort for helping me to be better in Math.

My CCA is NCC which is National Cadet Corps (Sea). I attained the rank of a corporal in my CCA. My CCA is a CCA that focus on discipline and teamwork. We would have to work together to achieve greater things. My CCA have a lot of other activities other than marching and foot drills. We have PDS (Precision Drills Squad), kayaking and dragon boating. We would also have our annual NCC camp where we get to know other cadets better.

The scholarship that I received in Sec 1 motivated me to study better and motivated me to get better grades. Now I am able to get good grades.
