Juying Primary School (2014)

There are many camps in Juying Secondary, but my favourite one would have to be the one the Secondary One Orientation Camp where I made a lot of friends and got to know my classmates very well. During the camp, there were many activities and many games. But the highlight of the camp was the campfire on the last day of the camp. Our class competed with other Sec One classes for the best campfire performance. We had a lot of fun shouting and cheering and simply having the best time of our lives.

Now, I would like to write about my favourite teacher in Juying Secondary, Ms Chen Yong Hua. She is very caring and hardworking. Although she needs to teach six different classes, she would never hesitate to attend to our every enquiry, making sure that our questions are clearly answered and any doubts cleared. When we are injured or hurt, she would also attend to us and ask us if we are fine. These are the kind of teachers you will meet in Juying Secondary.

In Juying Secondary, there is a wide range of CCAs to choose from. My CCA is the IT/MEDIA Club. There is a choice of Robotics, AVPA and Photography. For Robotics, we get to program stuff like the Pico-Mouse. In AVPA, you are in charge of the audio system of the school, like playing the national anthem during the morning assembly. For Photography, you are in charge of taking photographs of the events that the students of the school take part in. Our IT/ Media Club has won many awards such as the 21st Century Robotic Pico-Mouse competition, in which we won 2nd place. We also took part many other competitions and is placed among the top three each time. Recently, in a competition known as the National Junior Solar Sprint, we won the Best Design Category.

Besides exciting CCAs, the reason I like Juying Secondary is because of my sister. My sister is always singing praises about the school so much so that I just have to go there. True enough, the teachers and students in the school are very friendly. You will feel very much at home in Juying Secondary. By choosing Juying Secondary as my first choice, I won a scholarship. With the scholarship, I managed to get a new set of textbooks and reference books to help me in my studies. Winning the scholarship also made me feel more confident of myself.
