John 14:6
I AM Truth
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 17:13-19
God's Word is Truth
13 "I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
John 18:37
Jesus and Pilate discuss Truth
37 "You are a king, then!" said Pilate.
Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."
John 8:31-38
Jesus' Disciples Know the Truth, and This Truth Will Set You Free
31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
33 They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?”
34 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. 37 I know that you are Abraham’s descendants. Yet you are looking for a way to kill me, because you have no room for my word. 38 I am telling you what I have seen in the Father’s presence, and you are doing what you have heard from your father.”
We can read about many of Jesus' teachings on Truths in the four gospels...Jesus knows the Truth...Jesus spoke the Truth...Jesus lived the Truth...He said He is the Truth...Not only did He say He was the Truth, but added He is the Way, and the Life...And He added that if we are His Disciples and hold to His Teachings then the Truth will set us free...And He says that God's Word is Truth...
As we read the gospels we see that Jesus knew the Truth...Jesus spoke the Truth...And Jesus lived out the Truth in His life...Knowing the Truth is one thing, speaking about the Truth is harder, and living out one's life in Truth is the hardest thing about Truth and living your life...
Jesus knows the Truth...But watching and reading about Jesus, just knowing the Truth is not enough...Without His sharing of the Truth, we would not have learned about Him, or His Father...So knowing the Truth is important, but it is more important that the Truth be spoken...And so He testified to Truth and taught, it when He dwelt on the earth...So it is not enough just to know the Truth...It is better to teach and speak about it, after we know the Truth...
And the hardest thing might being to live the Truth each and every minute of your life...Everyone around you sees how your behavior and how you live your life...But that is what Jesus did...He lived His life around Truth...And thus we learned what kind of Man He really is...
