27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah
13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven."
I think all of us want to believe that their is a purpose in our lives, and that we are not just here by chance or randomly...I think all believers want to meet God...I think many of us want not to fear death, and that means that we know the Eternal and Living God...
Jesus tells us now this is eternal life -that we may "know" the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom He sent to earth...Then on another occasion Jesus was ask what must one do to have eternal life...Jesus answered that if we love the LORD our God, with all our hearts, and all our souls, and all our minds and all our strength, and if we love our neighbor, then we will inherit eternal life...
It seems to me to get to eternal life there is a process, that first involves seeking the LORD...If we do not know that God exists, how can we find Him so we can have and inherit eternal life?...Moses wrote that if we seek God with all our heart and all our soul, then we will find God...After we seek Him, we must get to know Him...Even Jesus tells us -to seek and we shall find (Matthew 7:7)...We need to read the Bible, ask others who know about Him, and read books that know and write about Him...Then we must acknowledge Him...Jesus wants us to confess that He is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God...We must confess that we believe in God...Then we must love God, with all our hearts and all our souls -love Him with everything we have and know how...
As we read the Bible, and through these verses, we see they are peppered with feelings and using we must use our hearts and our souls...The heart is where our defilement comes...Jesus says for out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander (Matthew 15:19)...Then Jesus teaches us about the importance of the soul...Jesus tells us -what good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul (Matthew 16:26)?...
So we need to seek God with all our heart and soul...When we have found Him, let us get to know Him, and the things about Him, as best we can...We know He is Almighty, always True and the Truth, yet meek and humble...We know that God is Love (1 John 4:8)...So we need to use our minds, and the strength and any other strengths we have to love Him...
So the way to eternal life is to Seek, Know, Acknowledge, and to Love -the Living God and His Son...
