Acts 4:11-13
Salvation is Found Only in Jesus
11 Jesus is “‘the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the cornerstone.’
12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
Titus 3:3-8
God Sent Jesus to Save Us
3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. 8 This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
John 17:3
Now This is Eternal Life
3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
The Bible talks about God and how He brings salvation to us...Salvation for our lives and eternal life is in found in His Son...There is no other name by which we can find salvation...Jesus is our only Savior...Peter tells us that Jesus is the Way to our salvation, and our way to salvation and eternal life is to believe in God and the One He sent...
We lived in this world and are much looking at our own pleasures and desires...But when the kindness and LOVE of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy and grace...He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life...This is a trustworthy saying...And I want you to stress these things to others, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good...
So to believe in God and the One He sent requires belief and faith...Since the Bible is our Book of Faith and the Book for Faith, Jesus is literally in each and every verse of the Bible...We have fallen and have sinned...We sin and have a sinful nature and can find salvation only in One Man...To be saved we look toward the cross and the One who died on it for us and our sins...
